4. Then, tap on the Quick Settings panel.
5. On opening it up, a new “Dark theme” tile will appear on your screen.
6. You need to click on it to enable the system-wide dark mode on your Chromebook.
7. In case you want to revert to the light mode, you can disable the “Dark theme” tile appearing under the panel for Quick Settings.

Chrome OS already offers a bit of dark mode interface, and being dark-designed, the quick settings and the app drawer didn’t change much after enabling the dark mode. The implementation of the dark mode on Chrome OS is not yet fully and effectively functional, and it still messes up various things.

The text is retaining the dark color even in the dark mode, thereby making it tough to read while searching for the applications in the drawer. The Taskbar won’t automatically change its theme. You will have to open the app drawer for applying the new changes. The dark mode has not been applied to the Files app or the Settings page, on at least the Beta build as of now.
