6 things fans are looking forward to seeing in God Of War: Ragnarok

The Greek mythology-based video game – God Of War is coming back with the latest Ragnarok arc, and fans can’t get enough of it. Even though we won’t be having Chris Hemsworth as Thor in the game, here are six things fans are looking forward to seeing in God Of War: Ragnarok.

GOD OF WAR

Freya’s revenge

After killing his son Baldur, Kratos and Atreus might have to face the wrath of one of the strongest characters from the God of War lore, Freya. Although the curse by Odin limits Freya’s powers and prohibits her from killing the living beings, Freya might come up with a solution to take revenge on Kratos for the untimely demise of her son.

The battle between Freya and Kratos is going to be epic because the Norse goddess was a strong ally to them and helped them in various stages of the game.

New bosses

Every God of War game has new bosses and new levels of difficulties. The new God Of War: Ragnarok is set to include new Valkyrie-like bosses and new minions, who will make the gameplay enjoyable while keeping the same level of perplexity and hardcore gaming ethics.

Fans can expect new large-scale boss fights, new god fights, and the ultimate battle between Thor and Kratos.

Kratos vs. Thor

In the 2018’s God of War, when Kratos and Atreus take shelter inside a broken shed in the forest, Thor makes an appearance outside their door. Although Thor has screentime of fewer than 20 seconds in the game, it does imply that Kratos vs. Thor is going to happen soon, and the fight between these two giants will change the course of time and space in the God of War universe.

More weapons

Kratos is infamous for using the enemy’s weapons against them, and the new weapon, the leviathan ax, can squeeze gods into tiny tuna cans. In the original God of War, Kratos has a different set of weapons infused with different powers and capabilities. Blades of Chaos, Blade of Artemis, Blades of Athena, and Thor’s Mjolnir are some of the highlights of the artillery in the new God Of War: Ragnarok.

The real Ragnarok

Marvel did a fantastic job with Thor: Ragnarok and highlighted some of the thunder god’s main key points but little did it know that Thor had a more profound connection in the God of War lore. He is the son of Odin and brother of Baldur, who has been allegedly killed by Kratos.

Fans can expect a real Norse mythological battle between gods, where Loki, Freyr, Thor, Hermóðr, Kratos, and other Demigods will clash against each other for the battle at the end of the world.

Atreus and Loki

Although it is not yet confirmed if Atreus is going to be Loki in the God Of War: Ragnarok but some fan theories suggest that Atreus will grow up to be the God of Mischief. In the game, Atreus’s father is Kratos, which makes him the father of both Thor and Atreus(Loki). All of this doesn’t make any sense because the original comics, marvel movies, and the God of War series have changed the course of understanding Norse mythology’s intangible Norse paganism.

Conclusion

God of War has been the favorite game for many people, and the new God Of War: Ragnarok is set to break the record of all the previous games, thanks to the hype and the new teaser, which gained massive traction in the gaming community. The marvel fans will enjoy this feast as their favorite hero will fight against video game lovers’ favorite warrior. The stage is set, and the showdown will start as soon as the Playstation releases the game in 2021.
