Turn of 5G Coverage if Networks Are Not Available

The iPhone 12 and above devices above it support 5G networks. The use of 5G networks is currently available in a few countries, but whoever doesn’t have 5G accessibility, they’ll have to wait a bit longer.

The new generation iPhone devices can switch between 4G and 5G networks according to the availability. It will automatically get connected and switch between from 4G to 5G network without notifying the user. Indeed, it’s a great feature, but it can cause draining battery faster and lowers the battery life as well. So if there’s no 5G network available, make sure to set the network to only 4G/LTE. To turn off 5G network on iPhone 12, follow Settings>Cellular>Cellular Data Options>Voice & Data and press LTE.

Change the Incoming Call Alert

In iOS 14, Apple changed the call alert system when the device is getting used. Now when using an iPhone device, the incoming call won’t display on the whole screen and will only display on the small notification section. Users can easily miss this incoming alert, so it is better to change it as it was before. To get incoming calls on full screen, follow – Settings>Phone>Incoming Calls>Full Screen.

Display Full Notification on Lock Screen

The Face ID on iPhone 12 does not allow anyone to see alerts and notifications before unlocking the device. In iPhone 12, it’s a part of the user’s privacy that doesn’t allow anyone to check the notifications. Until the owner of iPhone 12 unlocks their device using Face ID or passcode, they can’t see the alerts and notifications. However, this can be annoying sometimes as well, so it’s better to make some changes on notifications on the lock screen.

Users can change notification alerts on the lock screen by going into Settings>Notifications>Show Previews>Always.

Try Out Fancy Wallpapers

The best way to make the home screen of the iPhone gorgeous is by changing its wallpaper. Apple has added a set of new wallpapers on iOS 14 that every user should try once to give their device’s display a whole new look. To change the wallpaper on the iPhone, users have to go into Settings>Wallpaper>Choose a new wallpaper. Choose wallpaper between Still or Live.

Activate Dark Mode

Dark Mode is undoubtedly a highly preferred feature on iPhone devices. If anyone doesn’t want to change anything on their display but still wants to feel fresh, Dark Mode is available for them. Dark Mode doesn’t work like changing wallpaper, but it turns the white background to black including the apps. Plus it saves battery, and the easiest way to activate it is – Settings>Display & Brightness>Dark.

Add an Additional Face ID

The Face ID on new iPhone devices is way too accurate. It sees all different aspects and learns the structure of the user’s face with every scan. If the iPhone of any user doesn’t recognize them easily, then they should add an alternative Face ID.

To add another Face ID, move into Settings>Face ID & Passcode>Enter PIN>Set Up An Alternative Appearance

Conclusion

iOS 14 has made several changes from the previous iOS version, and most of the changes are admired by users. The new feature of customizing the home screen is really amazing, and adding Find My app by removing Find Friends and Find My Device is also a smart move. Apple merged both Find Friends and Find My Device into Find My app, which is now easier to use.
