How to Fix My Gigabit Ethernet Stuck at 100 MBPS?

Troubleshooting Your 1 GB adapter

Now select the network adapter you are currently using and click on the Next tab to continue. The troubleshooting will initiate. If the windows find any issue, it will recommend a solution.
- Check Adapter Settings: If the windows did not detect any issue, you would have to check if your adapter settings are compatible with 1GB speeds. In the Network and Sharing Center, hit the Change Adapter Settings button and select the adapter you are currently using. Right-click on it and then select the Properties option. Within the Properties section, click on the Configure button to continue. Configure tab will open the Device Controller properties. Select the Advanced tab and click on the Speed and Duplex settings. On the right-hand side, you will find a Value menu. Change the Value similar to the network speed of your LAN connection. Then click on the OK button to apply the setting.
Update the Adapter Driver
To update the adapter driver, follow the given steps:
- Go to the ethernet properties window as mentioned above and click on the Configure tab to open the Device Properties Window.
- Then click on the Driver Tab and select the Update Driver option.
- In the Update Driver, settings choose the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option.
- Windows will connect to the internet and automatically look for the driver updates for your device. If there is a new update, windows will install the driver on the system.
