All You Need to Know about Lynk the Knowledge-as-a-service platform

In the modern world as the availability and accessibility of information becomes easier getting reliable expert advice becomes a bit tougher. To, solve this problem a startup named Lynk which is a knowledge-as-a-service platform tried to connect clients with 840,000 experts from a wide range of fields. Recently Lynk announced that it has raised $24 million led by MassMutual Ventures and Brewer Lane Ventures. 

The platform uses machine learning algorithms to match users which include Fortune 100 companies and government entities, investment firms, with experts from around the world. The experts can’t be accessed through traditional consultancies or by searching online which proves how important Lynk can be. The algorithm takes into account factors like what one knows, where one works etc. to find the right match. 

The company was founded in 2015 and it has raised over $30 million so far. Lynk now has more than 200 employees in eight offices that are located in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, London, Hyderabad, Manila, and Toronto. With the latest funding, Lynk expects to expand in China and North America where its demand has recently grown. It will also use the funds for product launches in the coming months. 

Lynk answers, which is the flagship product of the startup is now being used by over 200 enterprise clients. Using Lynk several companies have reacted much quicker to the geopolitical changes which include events that might affect the supply chain. Similarly, some companies sought expert advice when their shipments got stuck in customs and other problems. 

The founder of Lynk, Choi used to work in finance when due to an incident she came up with the idea for the startup. When her parents tried to launch an art gallery, Choi found herself at a loss. The day-to-day business questions were tough to answer for Choi and she had to find the right people for it. That’s when it hit her that she can do it for others as well and Lynk was born.

Lynk makes earns revenue by charging its clients a subscription fee. Since there is a need for expert advice for making tough business decisions, Lynk fills the gap and provides its clients what they need. There is a lot of scope for the company in the coming years and it will be interesting to see how it going to handle all the challenges. The CEO and founder Peggy Choi is quite optimistic about Lynk’s future and there are good reasons for her confidence in the startup.
