All You Need to Know About Asus ExpertBook B9450

Asus has established itself as one of the best laptop manufacturers in the last few years. It has produced several very powerful machines some of whom even have dual screens. It has been consistently innovating and with every passing year the expectations from Asus keep on mounting. So far, the company has delivered every single year and there is no reason for it to fail in the coming years as well.

Asus ExpertBook B9450 is one of many ultrathin notebooks that were launched last year. The lightweight ultrathin notebooks have been in demand lately but most of them don’t have long-enough battery life. Asus ExpertBook B9450 is an exception as it is not just incredibly light but also has long battery life. According to Asus, it is the lightest 14-inch commercial laptop in the world. Asus ExpertBook B9450 weighs around 1.90 pounds and despite its thin build the company has somehow managed to pack some decent specs.

The base model of the Asus Expertbook includes 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a Core i7-10510U. It costs $1,699 and comes with Intel’s UHD Graphics 620. By spending $100 more you can bump the storage up to two 1TB drives which will be more than enough for all of your storage needs. Although the specs of the Asus Expertbook are impressive but there other Ultrabooks that come with similar features. So, despite having great specs, Asus needed to do more to help its Ultrabook stand out, and surprisingly it did just that. Asus ExpertBook’s battery life is even more impressive than its lightweight or specs.

At 200 nits of brightness, the ExpertBook can last almost 11 hours while the user is constantly multitasking with a decent load of Chrome tabs and apps. Although some laptops might outlast it, when it comes to Ultrabooks, there is no other laptop that can last as long as the Asus ExpertBook. It also has a great cooling mechanism that ensures that the UltraBook never overheats when used for several hours. The 2TB storage option is another magnificent feature that comes with the ExpertBook. So, Asus ExpertBook is a great option for business users considering its specs, portability, and battery life.

One more common issue with most thin laptops is that they sometimes feel flimsy. However, the Asus ExpertBook is sturdy. It is made of multiple layers of magnesium-lithium alloy material. The Ultrabook has also passed the MIL-STD 810G military-grade standards, which test factors like spill resistance, port durability, and shock resistance. Compared to other ultrathin laptops, Asus Expertbook is way sturdier. Therefore, it is a great option for users who are looking for a laptop with all the features of an ultrabook along with a sturdy body.

The material used to make the laptop gives it a bit of a celestial look in certain light which is a bonus for the users who love the unique design. The ErgoLift hinge of the ExpertBook lifts the keyboard deck a bit off the ground when the laptop is opened. The ErgoLift hinge has several benefits including comfort while typing, and increased cooling. The slight modification in design is immensely advantageous for the users and it is this attention to detail of Asus that makes it so much better than any other company at what it does.

The Asus ExpertBook comes with several useful port selections like one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one Micro HDMI to LAN port, and one 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Considering how tough it is for most manufacturers to even fit one USB-A onto an ultrathin laptop, it is impressive to see what Asus has achieved with its Ultrabook.

One might feel that all the features of the ExpertBook might be listed by now but you get more with the Asus ExpertBook. The Windows Hello webcam comes with a kill switch and a physical shutter, there’s even a fingerprint scanner in the ultrathin laptop below the arrow keys, and the touchpad comes with Asus’ NumberPad 2.0 which allows one to pull up LED Numpad with the touch of a sensor. The Ultrabook comes with so many features that it is sometimes even tough to recall. The ultrathin laptop not only has some really good specs, battery life but also several incredible features that make work a fun experience.

All the features on the Asus ExpertBook make it sound like the ideal laptop for most users. But there is one significant flaw that might be off-putting for some potential buyers. The laptop comes with Core i7-10510U which is a four-core processor. It is significantly lower-powered than many chips. When compared with the best laptops in the market, the processor makes ExpertBook seem like a poor choice. It is not a workhorse by any stretch of the imagination. So, users who are looking for a laptop that can be used for heavy work will be disappointed by the ExpertBook. However, it is still a great laptop, especially for business purposes. Asus ExpertBook is a great ultrathin that can be a great laptop for you if you don’t need a powerful machine.
