The Boss Baby: Family Business is casting the A-list actors for the upcoming sequel. Actors including James Marsden, Jeff Goldblum, and Eva Longoria are some announced casts who are signed. It is an upcoming 3D computer-animated comedy movie based on the book of the same name written by Marla Frazee, distributed by Universal Pictures and produced by DreamWorks Animation. Tom McGrath will direct the film. The voice of the title character will be given by Alec Baldwin, alongside Amy Sedaris, James Marsden, Eva Longoria, Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Sedaris, and Lisa Kudrow. The movie is scheduled to be released on 26 March 2021 by Universal Pictures.
The film’s synopsis follows Tim, played by James Marsden, and his “Boss Baby” or “The Boss,” little bro, Ted, played by Alec Baldwin. They both have become adults and drifted away from each other. The elder brother, Tim, is a married dad now. And Ted is a hedge fund CEO. However, a new boss baby with a can-do attitude will bring them together and inspire a family business. It will follow the story of Tim Templeton and the mature younger brother.
The Boss Baby was called a generic animated film by viewers and managed to collect well at the box office and turned into a robust financial showing for Dreamworks and Universal. The sequel plot is not yet disclosed, but director Tom McGrath has confirmed the involvement and returning of Alec Baldwin to voice the upcoming Boss Baby.
According to a report of Variety, other actors have recently joined the cast of The Boss Baby: Family Business. Longoria and Marsden are confirmed for the character of Tabitha’s parents. Tabitha is a 7-year-old girl; she idolizes Ted and has an IQ level of a genius. Goldblum will give the voice of the founder of Acorn Center for Advanced Childhood. On the other hand, Lisa Kudrow And Jimmy Kimmel will return as the parents of Ted.
Director McGrath shared his first experience of the film The Boss Baby, and he has higher hopes for the second one. He said he is very lucky to work with such great talented actors, and he is very excited to bring back the characters in the sequel. He also leaves room for improvisation and encourages creative freedom, which means his actors are allowed to make subtle adjustments. Such liberties allow the cast members to explore the characters, and since most of the actors have a comedic background, there are many opportunities to put their twists.
However, it is yet not clear what adventure is cooking in the kitchen of Boss Baby, though it is inevitable that it has something great to serve. The first movie, The Boss Baby in 2017, was a fantastic film and pretty unexpected that it would be such a hit for Dreamworks and Universal. Now, it seems like the studios want to replicate the success. The film’s massive star cast is creating great speculations about The Boss Baby: Family Business, and the team is aiming for a financial turnover in 2021.
