Is Jenna Marbles Really Leaving YouTube?

Yes. The popular vlogger is all set to take a complete break from her YouTube channel. She had touched the grand 20 million subscriber milestone but is now ready to leave the platform. In her short video posted on Thursday, the vlogger expressed that not many of her viewers are happy, especially for her past actions.

The big decision to leave the platform isn’t a reasonless one. It seems as if her fans are turned off for some reason. They want 33-year old Marbles to address her past actions and apologize for them. In one of her statements, Jenna Marbles says that she isn’t proud of what she has done in the past. She also apologizes for some of those acts and clarifies that she has no bad intentions of putting out inappropriate content through her channel. A section of her viewers asked her questions about why she has made some of her old videos private. On this, she says that it is a sign that she has grown up in the past few years, and she is proud of that. She adds that she is not the same person she used to be. Yet, her viewers are still offended by those acts. She further says that if her viewers aren’t happy and are taking offense, she doesn’t want to exist on the platform anymore.
The vlogger has faced criticism and offense for many of her videos. One such video was when she imitated Nicki Minaj. Probably after some self-reflection, she claims the video to be “crazy and embarrassing.” She says that there was no intent of her to go blackface. She apologizes to the ones who got offended for the video.
It seems as if the actor has really matured over the years, as she is readily apologizing for her past videos, especially for the ones in which she had made fun of genders. She justifies her intentions and shows her regret for those pieces of work. She expresses her concern towards people who are struggling to accept and present their identities and thus agrees that it was wrong of her to make fun of them. She doesn’t find jokes on gender funny anymore. The vlogger has also admitted that some of her rap videos from the year 2011 were simply awful, offensive, and racist. She also talks about one of her slut-shaming videos, and she deeply regrets her shameful behavior.
In her finale video, she says with tearful eyes that her intentions were never wrong, and she never tried to offend anyone. She says that nobody should be judged for the past actions. She says that she sees people for what they are today at present, and not for their past actions. The vlogger clarifies that she has always tried to do her best, and never intended to hurt anyone on any grounds.
As of now, Jenna Marbles claims that she isn’t ready to continue with her channel after seeing so many people getting offended by her videos. People are turning to social media to show their opinion towards her act. It is still not clear whether she will come back on her channel or not.
