Steps to install plugins into Photoshop app
Step 1: Get a plugin
Plugins for Adobe Photoshop can easily be found on the internet. In order to add plugins to your Adobe Photoshop, you have to download them on your device. There are various websites that provide Photoshop plugins for free. Search for Adobe Photoshop plugins on the search engine and download the plugins of your choice from a website. It’s better to download them from the Adobe or related sites. After obtaining the plugins file, go to the next step.
Step 2: Extract the downloaded plugins file
There are the most chances you’ll get the plugin file into a compressed file format, such as ZIP or RAR. This is done for the purpose of the easy transfer. If your downloaded plugin file is also in ZIP or RAR folder, then you’ll need to extract it. Double click on the folder or right-click and select ‘Extract’ to open the files.
Step 3: Copy the extracted plugin files
After that, you’ll need to copy the complete folder that has the extracted data of plugin. To do so, right-click the folder and click ‘Copy’ or just select the folder and press ‘Ctrl + C.’
Step 4: Locate the Adobe Photoshop folder
Now, you’ll need to locate the folder that has been created while installing the Adobe Photoshop to your device. You’ll found it in the local disk C under the Program files folder. If you’re on Mac, then in the ‘Applications’ folder. Open the ‘Adobe’ or ‘Adobe Photoshop’ folder.
Step 5: Locate the ‘Plug-Ins’ folder
Under the Adobe Photoshop folder, find the ‘Plug-Ins’ folder and double click on it to open.
Step 6: Paste the copied extracted plugin files
Now, you’re going to add plugins to your Photoshop app. To do so, right-click on the empty (white) space in the ‘Plug-Ins’ folder and then click ‘Paste.’ Or else, press ‘Ctrl + V.’ The plugin will be added to the folder as well as to your Photoshop app.
